Thumbs down What did Mario just call the CU Buffs?

Anyone & everyone that listens to the azzhole Mar-ee-oh has had to hear him reference or tease an upcoming CU Buffaloes game (football, girls b-ball, etc) and every time, without fail, he calls them the "boofs."

Anybody else know what that term means? Anybody know that it's slang ...
boof - 1. short for b#ttf*ck. (check www.urbandictionary.com)

How about that folks. Everytime this LA transplant talks about athletics at the #1 state college he insults the team. He insults the players, the team, the fans, the alumni, and anyone that has a little CU pride.

The worst thing is that he KNOWS he's insulting CU athletics. I called Rick about this and he said that folks at KKZN (sports guys, techs, admin) have asked to change him but he won't.

So everytime he knowingly calls the CU team "b#ttf*ckers" because in his warped immature brain it's funny. Every season you have this professed Progressive "Live & Local" talent insult our state college team.

Now arent' all you Mario fans pretty proud of that?

Smile Y Mucho Mas Boof!

That's to be expected from someone who starts his "show" every day with this heady intro:

"It's five minutes, no it's six minutes after 4 o'clock".

This Boof ought to dumb it down for his fans:

"The big hand is on the six and the little hand is on the four."

Angry Are you kidding me?

I heard him do it today for the first time. What a jacka$$. Why do we put up with him calling our LOCAL team ButtF*****s? And he can't act like he didn't know what he was doing the way they were all giggling and laughing like 6th graders. It makes me mad that he is supposed to be representing our local interests. I'm a CU student and am going to write to Kris and demand that she make him stop. Not that it'll do any good.....

GO BUFFS!

Tell as many other students & faculty as you can about Mario's insults. He does it EVERY time and he does no better. So with will & purpose he insults all Buffs ... the fans, students, faculty, employees, alumni, and supporters get made fun of by this AZZ every game day.

Enough is Enough!

Default Buffs, Biffs, Baffs, Boofs. Why care?

What is it about corporate sports that gets everyone so emotional? I only occasionally listen to Mario, and I do get a little distracted by his pronunciation, but get a perspective! Corporate Sports' only meaningful outcomes are 1)revenue generation 2)entertainment 3)distraction.

Corporate Sports; an Opiate of the Masses
Don't be anesthetized.

I'm very sorry that "corporate" sports pi$$ you off so much, but honestly, to make fun of our local teams in such a juvenile and up-front manner is offensive. I am sorry that sports are not important to you, but to the thousands of students attending CU they are a vital part to the funding of their education. The football program at CU brings in major bucks and helps to keep the costs down for single mothers like myself.

I always find it absolutely perfect when someone trys to insult someone's intelligence while being a complete retard.

I'll try to dumb it down for you, Xanadu. Take a look at a clock face. No, not your digital alarm clock, the one with the hands. If the time is 4:05 or 4:06, where will the hands be? The large one will be either on the 1 or a tad past it and the small one will be on the 4. This means the time is either 4:05 or 4:06 respectively. What time would it be if the large hand is on the 6 and the small hand is a little past the 4? 4:30. 4:05/4:06 =/= 4:30.

Angry :)

While I understand your point about xanadu, I think that his point was that Mario can't seem to get the time difference right. The irritating thing about Mario is not whether or not he gets the time right or whether he can figure out our local issues or whether he actually speaks to the local progressive crowd---nope, it's much bigger than that. In fact, it encompasses all of the above and more. So go ahead and make fun of Xanadu for his clock reference.....but the fact of the matter is that Mario is not a local voice and has had a history of screwing up his facts on local politics and likes to make fun of local football teams. It's embarrassing to local listeners when we have to hear him fumble through news and pretend that he gives a rats ass about Denver.

To assume Mar-eee-ooh (or you, for that matter) has intelligence that can be "insulted" is a big assumption.

The "four" in my clock face illustration referred to the hour four - when the small hand is indeed at four o'clock. The "five" or "six" obviously referred to the minutes, meaning the big hand is located five or six clicks past the big twelve number (which you can find at the top of your clock with the big round face).

Apparently you are incapable of grasping a simple point, and can't see "the forest for the trees" (or, in your case, can't tell time for the clock hands.) For you to disregard the point about "Mar-eee-ooh", and instead seize upon minutia, speaks to your level of perception and understanding.

Let me dumb this down for you: the word you meant to use is "tries", not "trys."

Now run along now, Troll, and play with your clock. You've got five whole hours until Mar-eee-ooh time!.

Wink Well played Xan!

Wonder if Coach Dan knows what Mar-ee-oh calls the Buffs?

Why don't we all call in tonight and spread the word. Let's see what those listeners think about being called b*ttf#ckers by the "One & Lonely."
