Again, you're one of what, maybe ten people who care about Caplis and his political future? And talk about "Chicago bully tactics"...why don't you take the blinders off and take a serious look at that crew you've got in the WH (I know, I know he's 'dreamy'). Of course you'd think carping about some radio talker 24/7 was some sort of public service. All liberal progressives think their conservative witch hunts are some gift to society. They're merely cover to preserve the progressive agenda. |

That is the second best thing I've heard all day. Thank you.

You know, the sun is out today. If you'd clear just your windows of all your photos, clipplings and on-the-air chronicles of Dan, you might actually be able to see that.
Free advise: if you really want to help your fellow man, go down to your local place of worship and get involved in their efforts to help in our community. JMO |

Hey Newman, a challenge for ya: yesterday I heard Danny Boy say that he has never, under ANY circumstances, said the "N" word. Can this be true? Saint Dan didn't say he'd never used "retarded" the way Rahm Emanual did (though he acknowledges "lunatic", "moronic" etc); but he righteously calls for Emanual to be fired. As is Sarah Palin. But didn't her son-in-law say she often called her own baby retarded? As Dan says, hmmm (smirk). |

![]() Fantastic. Try to dig up some sort of racial dirt on a private citizen (as opposed to a public servant--though no one in politics knows this is what they are supposed to be). Sleezy. But not unexpected from you. Look, I realize you have to keep trying to discredit those who continue to expose your progressive agenda, but there are much more serious problems to deal with.... |

It is tremendously entertaining to watch you all in your hate filled contortions as you attempt to drive caplis off the air--with absolutely no idea of how to drive. |

As part of Dan's parsing ways, he actually didn't call for Emanuel to be fired, he just cultivated all the biased indignation he could from the situation. Besides, he would have to call for his own firing for some of his stunts, which is also why Caplis also didn't call for Imus to be fired way back when, imo. Re: Danny never saying the N-word. Actually, that might be true. I’m wary of all Danny’s pronouncements, like when he says he always treats radio guests with respect, that he always pays his bets, he was a card-carrying member of the UFW, and dozens more. Dan has said he had 50-100 fist fights as a tough kid in Chicago, and lived in one the most racist neighborhoods anywhere. Presumably he may have fought with some African American kids. If the N-word never crossed his lips, back in the 60’s, before, during, or after a street brawl, or any other time, good for him. To Dan’s great credit, he’s said previously that he doesn’t like the word “retarded” or any derivation, and says he doesn’t use it, and doesn’t like others using it. I believe that. He has also been a big defender of the mentally ill and the developmentally disabled. It is one of the few things I like about him. Too bad he blew a lot of that goodwill in August of 2007 when he was on his usual rant for school choice/vouchers (basically meaning his advocacy for huge funds to go to parochial and eventually rich-kid schools). When the subject of private schools not making accommodations for the developmentally disabled and others, and public schools having the burden of special needs students, he said “So what”. [His elitism and duplicity crept out a little there. The same for when he says entrepreneurs will be falling over themselves to start schools for troubled and delinquent kids. And also when he says the rich keeping their tax funds will make more jobs. The rich only make business and regular incomes, and presumably could use some income to hire more people, 28% of the time. The rest is investment and other gains. It seems Caplis wants to keep his Cherry Hills neighbors flush with oil well royalties and the like, rather than paying the taxes they can afford.] Caplis says there is a history of the use of “retarded” that makes it inappropriate to use. That hasn’t stopped Dan from using “whack job” (the green light for me to call him a narcissistic whack job), what ever history “whacked” may have. He is also partial to “nutty”, “nut job”, “wackos”, “looney”, and “nut case”. PS> as Caplis just started the show as I write this, he said the repeated use of “retard/retarded” by Rush Limbaugh today was used by Rush to mock Rham Emanuel. Caplis sounds like he was defending Rush. So a quick word search shows he should change his tune immediately, or he is just being disingenuous, as usual. Also in August 2007, on the 22nd, Caplis said he DESPISES IT when people use the word “retard”, that he never uses that word, and offered his usual biggest steak in town if he ever used the word “retard”. jmo PSS after today's show: What a bunch of crap. Caplis "Despises" the use of "retard", but let Rush off the hook without any meaningful criticism. This is why Caplis can't be trusted as an honest broker of nearly anything. All his facts, logic, and common sense stuff is just more spin. He had a huge day of plugging his own law firm several times today, and says he only represents real victims. Good Grief, could he be any more self-serving. At least it was a little more related to one of the subjects today. But remember that it is purposeful, and it is "free advertising", per Caplis. At least now he's (presumably) paying for a few other real commercials, for a change. hehe jmo Last edited by newman; 02-04-2010 at 08:34 PM. |
